Surprised to see the change! I, Gayatri Joshi, from Banaskantha has 'taken over' RJ Dhvanit's Facebook Page. 1. I am a leader of an adolescent girls group named “Durga Kishori Group” in Manpur village of Kankrej block. 2. Sanitation was a big issue in my village. Open defecation was a big problem. We felt bad but instead of complaining about it, we adolescents from the village decided to create awareness and encourage family members to build toilets at home. Today, I have a toilet at my home. 3. Discrimination among boys and girl is a bitter reality. My “Durga Kishori Group” in my village rose against it and created awareness about educating girl child. I am happy that today many girl children from my school are continuing with their study in school. I feel happy about it. Giving power to children can make a difference. 4. As a girl child, I wish to see the end the social evil of child marriage. Help girls achieve their potential by helping them study and complete their education. - Gayatri Joshi. Thanks, RJ Dhvanit for your support for #KidsTakeOver UNICEF India
