In San Anselmo, California, one group has started to hang clean face masks from trees to help those without one.
Local group Age-Friendly Marin Network’s “mask trees” are in Creek Park, in the Bay Area. They hope to encourage wearing masks to help control Covid-19.
Chairperson Sara Robinson says she was inspired by an initiative in Europe.
“In Czechoslovakia, one individual started making masks and hanging them on trees,” she says. “And pretty soon everybody, especially in Prague, were wearing masks and proud of it.”
